Zoey nodded, “So, we keep doing what we’re doing? Keep flirting and being there for her and wait for her to come to us. Then we can finally kiss her and love her and be in a relationship."
Rumi stood at the end of the hallway, face red and mouth slightly open in surprise. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Mira and Zoey liked her? Wanted to kiss her and love her and be with her?
A flurry of emotions ran through her. The first was elation. Zoey and Mira wanted her. Wanted a relationship with her.
The other was was a little different. Annoyance? Frustration? They had been flirty and touchy with her on purpose, just to see what kind of reactions they could get out of her? Why couldn’t they just ask her instead of leaving her all hot and bothered more times than she could count?
That's when the idea formed. Fine, if they were going to play games, she was going to win. This was going to be fun. Sweet torture indeed. -

Summary
Zoey spun toward Mira, her chest heaving, eyes blazing even through the tears. “Don’t you get it? We broke her! We tore apart the bond that tied our souls with her!"
Mira flinched under the intensity of Zoey’s gaze, guilt pooling in her stomach, "We thought we were protecting ourselves, Zo..."
Zoey's hands shook as she ran them though her hair. "P- protecting ourselves?" She huffed out a laugh, "Baby, look at her! Look at what we did! She's alone and it's because of us!"
A heavy silence fell. Zoey's voice dropped, raw and trembling. "I... I can't... I can't even feel her anymore, Mir. It's like something inside me... like a piece of me just- vanished. You can feel it too, I know you can."
Mira froze. “Zoey… I… I didn’t realise-” Her voice cracked, small and desperate.
She interrupted Mira, tears spilling freely, her words scrambling together in hiccups. "And I don’t know how to fix it because you two are always fighting each other and leaving me alone… and that emptiness just keeps getting bigger.”
(OR - a post-canon story of the 3 month hiatus with HUNTR/X, taking a realistic approach on how rumi's secret unveiled by jinu affected the trio after gwi-ma's defeat.)

Oh well worse might be the demons that still want to eat everyone but Rumi can kill them at least.

A chill ran through Zoey's spine, her nerves on end as the blood pooled at her feet. Her vision blurred, her limbs heavy as screaming came. Loud, wretched screams. More blood, cold and wet against the cuffs of her pants. It was hers. Her mouth opened for a scream to escape, but utter silence remained as more blood leaked onto her skin. It was so chilling. Cold. Heart-shattering.
It was for love, though. She asked carefully to herself, was this what she wanted? Would they love her more? Would they hold her hands even if they were the same ones she used to snuff the life out of humans. Humans, people family they loved.
No. They didn't care. They were reckless, they cast Rumi and Mira aside, so Zoey was determined to return their place.
No matter what it took, even with blood spilled, she would do anything to make Rumi and Mira happy, even when ethics were at line.
___Essentially, Zoey goes a little crazy, insane, and takes risky actions to avenge the people she cares most for. But when she returns, she hopes they accept what she had to do for them.

Minutes stretched into what felt like hours. The room grew warmer, or maybe it was just her—but the heat coiled tighter, making her shift uncomfortably. Her eyes kept drifting to that cursed toy, curiosity gnawing at her.
What harm could looking do? Just… looking.
With a frustrated huff, Rumi took it into her hands. The surface was smooth, almost silky, and when her fingers brushed over the swirls, they began to glow softly as if responding to her touch. A shiver ran down her spine, mirroring the glow of the patterns dancing across her skin. She held it closer, examining the entrance—the spot designed for… well, for her.
