Summary
Introduction:
Set in a different timeline, Forty-year-old Jackie Estacado, and the current wielder of the Darkness, is not as sprung as he used to be. He hires the twenty-five-year-old and enigmatic Annie Flores as a personal assistant. According to Johnny Powell, Annie was a stray, who needed a roof over her head. Jackie offers his home, along with the job. He was lonely, and he was desperate for company, too. The first time he witnessed a darkness looming over Annie, he knew he had made the right choice by taking her in. However, strange things begin to happen to the city that he had grown to both love and hate. When Sara Pezzini starts accusing Jackie Estacado of committing these ritualistic crimes, he has no choice but to solve the mystery himself, with the help of his trusty sidekick.
