Valencia had a boring life until she was sixteen. The day she turned sixteen, her and her brother, Jake, got a birthday present from their grandpa, who they were extremely close with. Valencia and Jake saw a postcard from the legendary Miss Peregrine, the headmistress of the children’s home their grandfather lived at when he was a child. Following the death of their grandfather, they saw a huge creature, like the one Abe described in his bedtime stories. They were both extremely traumatized and their parents took them to a therapist, who saw both of them at the same time because they refused to leave each other’s side. The therapist encouraged them to find the children’s home to see if they could get any answers from any possible surviving child-now-adult. What they discovered was far better than they could ever imagine, and extremely confusing. Meeting the children, who stayed the same age as September 3rd, 1943 because they were in a time loop, Valencia found her place and adventure she always wanted. Will she and Jake stay? Will they all survive the horrors of the Hollows and Wights? Will Valencia find any kind of love that she hopes for?
