Summary
When Boromir dies in The Lord of the Rings, he unexpectedly finds himself washed ashore on the island of Besaid, far from Middle-earth and surrounded by strange new lands. Found by the Crusaders Luzzu and Gatta, Boromir struggles to adjust to this unfamiliar world. He learns of summoners and their guardians, and through his growing bond with the young summoner-in-training Yuna, he finds solace and a new sense of purpose. As he becomes one of Yuna’s guardians, Boromir faces battles against fiends, challenges from his companions, and his own grief, all while coming to understand the weight of the journey he is now part of. In this story, Yuna will challenge Boromir's relationship to power and control, while the Captain of Gondor will encourage Yuna to see value her own life more, not just her people’s.
