“Hey, Uncle Skizz! I think I found soul juice!”
The voice belongs to Scar, who went around the edge of the building back towards the town and street. Skizz, hiking up his pack, goes to join him. Scar’s standing to one side, holding his pant legs up from his paws again. He looks at Skizz, then at the gravel.
There’s a distinct gap in the wooden wall, singed black, like a creeper exploded right beside it. Skizz’s eyes trail down to Scar’s feet. Spattered purple globs paint the grass, like modern art made from lollipop spirals. Gunpowder glints on nearby sapling leaves.
