When he was five, Andy learned how to tie his shoes and fix his own cereal each morning. At eight, he figured out how to use the washing machine so he’d have clean clothes to wear to school. At ten, he memorized the bus schedule by heart so that he’d never be late for first period.
Now, at twelve, he’s relearning how to trust others.
For his whole life, it’s been just him and his mom. His drunken, selfish mother who’s never had a maternal bone in her body.
When he’s ripped away from his home and everything he’s ever known in the middle of the night, he’s suddenly thrust into a world in which there isn’t an ounce of familiarity- the world of his biological father, the one and only Mary Goore.
(Disclaimer! This story has very little to do with Repugnant as a band and everything to do with my own head cannons for the one and only Mary Goore. The story will be very slice-of-life and coming of age, so there will be lots of awkwardness and secondhand embarrassment- in the most lighthearted ways possible, of course.)
