  Summary

  9 is an imperfect number. Not good enough to be a 10 and yet the highest single-digit number known to mathematics if you ignore numbers after the period. Nine was never bothered by it. Otherwise, they would not name themself Nine. The concept of 9 is their idea of power, of taking back control of their wretched life. 
  But here, right now all alone in the Grim, Nine cannot help but yearn for the One that can make them feel like a whole person again.
