It's been eight years since the war ended. Hermione Granger is a busy and in-demand Healer and curse breaker, but while her career has steadily progressed, her love life has not. A mysterious curse is afflicting Muggle-born patients, and only our Golden Girl can save the day. She's always up for a challenge - but Draco Malfoy might be more than she bargained for.
This work is loosely inspired by one of my favorite books, The Scarlet Pimpernel! I'm planning a more by-the-book, classic retelling of that story with our favorite characters for the future. But this story has been bouncing around in my head for a while, and it's time to put it on the page.

After watching Hagrid carry Harry’s lifeless corpse and Bellatrix dancing at his death Hermione does the unthinkable. She raises her wand and throws an Avada Kadavra at Bellatrix, killing Voldemort's right hand instantly. Apparated away from the battle Kingsley asks Hermione if she would like to learn the Dark Arts. She becomes the Order's secret weapon, The Reaper. She is the only one using Dark Magic in the field taking lives and protecting those she loves. However, the Dark Magic has started eating away at her, slowly taking her away piece by piece. Will she see the end of the war before she is swallowed whole by the darkness?
Draco Malfoy, rises in the ranks after the Battle of Hogwarts he becomes one of three Voldemorts Blades, high ranking officers in the Dark Army. He, along with Blaise and Theo however are not aligned with Voldemort. All three of them have been secret spies for the Order. When Draco watches Hermione slowly disappear due to Dark Magic usage he decides to take matters into his own hands and takes her. With Hermione now at Nott Manor, the Reaper and her Blades decide it is time to take matters into their own hands and bring this war to an end.
