Summary
When Sterling looks at Eli under the meteor shower, it feels like gravity. Like something inevitable. Like falling.
Digging through my folders of writing, I found this and cleaned it up to post. Just a smut writing exercise for my strange little rarepair of a cryptozoologist and a sad, cute alt guy figuring himself out.

Summary
Sterling has crossed paths with Teren plenty of times—at parties, the saloon, festivals and campfires with their overlapping friend groups—but never one-on-one. That changes when a delivery run for his roommate Mia lands him at the Bear Family lodge when only Teren is there to answer the knock at the door.
A shared love of bad puns, cute dogs and emo music turns a quick favor into an afternoon of easy conversation and shared attraction--and between Teren's killer smile, velvety voice and charming personality, Sterling finds himself drawn to the attractive young veteran a lot more, a lot faster, than he ever expected.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────
“Safe word?” Sterling asks, voice husky. The implication settles over Teren, a whole body shudder rocking through him.
“Muffin.”
Sterling snorts in surprise and a laugh bubbles out of Teren before he can swallow it down, head thrown back. “Who says 'muffin' during sex? It's a fine safe word.”
“Touché, hot stuff.”

Sterling joins Sam and Sebastian for a friendly game of pool!
*~*
Sterling grabbed a cue and began chalking up the tip, blowing on it gently to remove the excess chalk dust. He caught Sam's eye and gave him a wink. "You've got to make sure you take good care of the tip," he drawled as he tossed the chalk in Sam's direction. "You don't want it to be too slippery when it makes contact with the balls."

Summary
Rey's struggles with postpartum depression after the birth of his and Sterling's child mistakenly go unnoticed by his partners who were doing their best to support him. Things go down south quickly and need an emergency intervention.
Postpartum depression/psychosis is a very real and serious condition that should be taken seriously and approached without the stigma it currently has towards parents suffering from it, especially when it ends up causing harm to newborns. I hope readers go into this with an open mind and understanding that those suffering from it are NOT bad people.

Summary
Sterling Cooper came back to Sunberry from Zuzu City to put himself back together—or at least stop making it worse. He’s just trying to keep his head down, get through each day, and maybe become someone he doesn’t hate. But then there’s Sage. The new farmer who took over her grandpa’s old farm before he moved back—the one with dirt on her boots, lavender hair cut to her shoulder, messy from the wind, and a different scarf around her neck every time he sees her. She’s short, sweet, and warm to everyone, like coffee on a cold morning.
And she wants to be his friend.
But Sterling knows what happens when people get close to him, and he’s not sure she deserves that kind of damage.

Summary
Sebastian’s patience has limits, especially when he's in his office, trying to work on his coding. And Sterling (beautiful, smug, confident bastard that he is) knows how to test them. All it takes is a bratty smirk and one too many interruptions before Sebastian snaps, dragging him to the floor and pinning him like a misbehaving pet. Sterling wants it. Needs it. Every bruise, every bite, every sharp edge of control Sebastian grinds into him. But even when his voice goes ragged and his body aches, he still has the audacity to grin and act like a brat.
Pain isn’t punishment when he begs for it. It’s worship. Sterling craves it—the sting, the weight, the bruises blooming under Sebastian’s grip. He wants to be used, to be tossed around, to be stripped of his control until all he can do is beg.
This is what happens when you talk back.

Summary
Gracelyn Ryder is not happy. All she did was hack into a government facility ONCE, and they shipped her off to some small town in a place she’d never heard of called Stardew Valley, to work for a strange woman who talks to her cat more than to her. She’s bored! Rural towns have stories, though. Maybe she’ll find something?
Azalea Firefern is sick of adventures. Fifteen years ago, she got away and settled on the dilapidated farm with nothing but her cat and a prayer. Now, she’s managed to settle. Of course the law comes and messes it up, leaving her in charge of a troublesome hacker who got herself on their watchlist. She’s fought this hard for her peace though, and no cocky computer whiz, enchanting adventurer or ancient magic is going to mess that up for her.
Mateo Luis is scared. Eighteen years ago, they made a mistake, and it sent them running from the only home they’d ever known. Now, they’ve returned. But it isn’t easy to face the people you’ve wronged, so they hide, fighting the monsters hidden in the depths, to do something. Can they ever move forward?
The darkness is rising, and they’re the only ones who can save their home. They don’t know that, though. They don’t even know each other. But they will.- Language:

Summary
June is having a really bad day and is looking for a way to forget his troubles. Too much of a good (?) thing leads to a life-or-death decision.
*~*
June stared blankly at the glass in front of him, wondering when he'd finished his drink. He was pretty sure he'd just ordered it, but then, time was fuzzy tonight. He put the drink down on the bar, gripping the edge of the counter, so neither he nor the glass fell on the floor, and signaled to the bartender for another.
Most reputable bartenders would have cut him off by now, he was sure of it. But this wasn't a reputable bar, and so the bartender rang up another drink on the register and slid a full glass in front of him.
Picking up the glass, June toasted the bartender, and, ignoring how the liquid sloshed over the side and onto the bar, he downed it in one long sip. Then he did the same with the next. And the next. He was about to do the same with his tenth… eleventh?… drink of the night, when his phone vibrated in his pocket. Again.

Summary
She turned her attention back to Sterling in time to catch his eyes snapping back up to her face. He had grown up to be really hot, and she noted with some satisfaction that the sentiment appeared to be mutual. Actually, all three of them were good looking, but with the piercings, chipped nail polish, and general air of casual recklessness, he was definitely her type. She never claimed to have good taste.
Cheeks slightly pink, he still managed to play it cool, leaning against the truck with his hands in his jeans pockets. “Yeah, fresh from Zuzu City. It'll give us something to bond over with a couple of beers. First one’s on me.”
He punctuated that offer with an actual wink. Oh, so he knew he was cute. Unfortunately, Stella liked that.

Summary
Other days, lots of loud noises made her mad, ‘cause her head and ears hurt, and everything else would bother her too—even the clothes she wore would suddenly become tight or itchy, no matter how comfy they were earlier.
Uncle Seb always knew, though, and he’d take her away from the racket until she felt better. For some reason, the walls of Uncle Seb’s house trapped all the sound inside way better than the farmhouse did. Uncle Sterling liked to joke they’d made the house ‘soundproof’ because of how loud her uncles got. Daddy always blushed whenever he said that. Jade didn’t know why. Uncle Sam’s guitar could get really loud, and so could Uncle Seb’s keyboard. After all, she should know! Uncle Seb sometimes let her play his keyboard—especially since she’d started working on her big surprise.
A series of special moments between Jade Cohen-Choi and each of her daddies.
Gift fic written for Andrea_P_Quintell. I love her CBCK series—and especially Ben and June's youngest child, Jade.

Summary
Samantha was running away from everything in Zuzu City: a crappy job, a narcissistic ex-girlfriend, and overbearing, unsupportive parents. She wanted a fresh start so she finally took over her grandfather's farm in Stardew Valley. She had a few hard and fast rules for her new life: Work hard, do your best, prove everyone wrong, and never, *ever* fall in love.
Unfortunately, she didn't count on Sterling Cooper when she made those rules. Sterling is a hot mess (emphasis on hot) and keeps breaking down the walls Samantha has carefully built around her heart...sometimes without even trying.

Summary
“Enjoyin’ the view, honey bun?” he drawled. Even though she couldn’t see his face, she could hear his smirk.
Ignoring how the heat from her ears traveled over her cheeks, Callie retorted, “I heard before I ever moved here that the valley had the best views in the Republic, and I have to agree. Pretty sure your ass qualifies as a wonder of the world.”
Laughter bubbled out of Sterling as he straightened up. “Damn, sugar plum, I’m rubbing off on you.”
“Promises, promises,” she grinned as she approached his workspace.
Grabbing a nearby rag and a bottle of some cleaner or another, Sterling doused the rag and then wiped the grease away before turning to face her. “I mean, I’m game if you are,” he said, ocean eyes crinkling at the corners from his teasing smile.
A scene I've had to cut from Changes. After Sterling fixes Callie's rototiller, she can't help but express her affections.

Summary
“So, we need to be really scary?” Jas asked. Her eyebrows almost touched. She must be thinking really hard.
“Yeah. But… I don’t know how to be scary.”
Mr. Ginger meowed again.
Jas looked at him. The pompom on her hat bounced as she tilted her head back and forth in thought. “It needs to be a threat he’ll believe. I’ve heard some of the things Aunt Marnie and Uncle Shane have said when they’re real mad.”
“No bad words, though,” said Yuuma. Threatening Mr. Sterling wouldn’t do any good if they got in trouble before they could scare him.
She rolled her eyes. “Of course not!”

Summary
From there, it descended into mass chaos. Sterling’s fists and elbows flew. He kicked. He bit. He dodged far too much for anyone else’s comfort. All the while, he laughed and taunted, reveling in the brawl. The fight quickly spiraled out to take in all the other patrons too drunk to escape. Sterling felt like he never had less than three men on him. But he still had fun, ducking, weaving, and getting in cheap shots.
“Daaaamn, boy. No wonder ya work as a saddle bum,” he taunted one particularly lanky fellow. Poor sot looked like he’d hit every branch of the ugly tree on the way down. “Ya have a face not even a mother could love.” Eyes blazing, Lanky lunged at Sterling, but he easily danced out of the way. “Now, come on, twinkle toes. You can do better than—”
Stars bloomed in Sterling’s vision as what felt like a sledgehammer slammed into his face. “You talk too much,” growled Sourpuss.
Sterling takes a job that lets him indulge in three of his favorite things: drinking, gambling, and flirting. Unfortunately, his luck's not quite as good as he hopes.
...At least he gets a kiss out of the deal.
