Summary
Castiel Novak, the most feared assassin in all of Wrenia, is given the job of his life. Assassinate the Winchesters, whose rule over the land has grown far too oppressive. Specifically, assassinate the crown prince himself, Dean Winchester, who is betrothed to the prince of Shornam, the most powerful nation in all of Xanda. A marriage alliance of such sovereignty would bring the rest of the world to its knees.
To close in for the kill, Cas will need to go undercover as a Royal Guard in Winchester Castle. Little does he know that the Winchesters are hunting the Novaks down, as well. The family-run mafia has been nothing but a thorn in the Winchesters' sides for years. Specifically, the Winchesters want Cas's head on a pike, as his cunning ways are what helped pull the Novaks out of poverty and solidify their spot as the second-wealthiest family in Wrenia.
Something else Cas didn't anticipate is the way he feels whenever he's around the crown prince. Like all he needs is right there, with a lopsided crown and a smug smirk.
But the marriage ceremony is growing closer by the day. And Cas must decide what matters most to him: His family or the green-eyed prince who his heart truly belongs to.

“You can’t tell me what to do,” Carl says. “If you’re gonna be all Dean about it, I’ll just call Sam. I don’t need the lecture. But I do need your help, I don’t know how to kill it. Or… track it down, really. I’m not even completely sure I’m right.”
