Another thing that he hates about them is the fact that they just always seem to smile. Constantly. Every second of the day, every day of the week, every week of the month, every month of the year—you get what he’s getting at.
They smile at him, they smile at the other two of their mutual friends, they smile at the wild doodle that lunged out at them from the grass, they smile at stranger that demands for them to hand over their keys, they smile at everything and everyone. He’s never seen that smile drop, not in the slightest.

Moreso Suzie than the other two of your little ‘group,’ but you see the way TJ breathes out a little harder wity every joke and how Quincey purses his lips in an attempt to hide his smile, twisting his body to look away. You feel nothing when you laugh alongside them.
