“I can hear them,” Maya tells him, as they stop in front of a door. The banging is coming from inside.
Theo steps back and kicks the door in. Both walk in.
Maya tries to listen for the banging, when she hears creaking. She looks up in time to see the ceiling cave down. Maya drops. She bites her lip to keep from crying out when she feels something crash down on her chest. She feels a sharp, blinding pain run through her ribs. She gasps for air.
