My brain came up with the totally ridiculous idea of having mine and Duchess_of_Strumpetness' imaginary muses meet up with Tommy and Barbara... partly because Duchess shared a photo of the 'baby spider' she rescued from one of her cats... by the size of it I think she rescued the cat from the spider!
This is a parody, written to cheer myself and Duchess up... and shared because we can all do with a little cheer these days! It should not under any circumstances be taken seriously.

Barbara is given a chance to try out her Detective Inspector wings when Inspector Lewis of Oxfordshire is on medical leave for four weeks. After he gets over the shock of Barbara being temporarily reassigned, Tommy offers Barbara the use of his family’s flat in Oxford. After a fortnight, Tommy decides a surprise visit is just what Barbara will need after two lonely weeks away from the Met, and him. It doesn’t occur to Tommy that Barbara may not be lonely, at all.
