Summary
Always beware the sea, Yara had been raised with. It was their home, her home, where she spent more of her life upon the waves than land. As familiar to her as her mother's embrace. But it was to always be respected.
Since the dawn of man, the Drowned God had lurked within the waves. Had been the one to send forth the Ironborn, and made them to reave and sack and to carve their names in blood and song. That blessed them with salt, blessed them with stone, blessed them with steel. Listen to the waves, listen to the God.
Of course, Yara may follow the Drowned God as any Ironborn but she was hardly what one would call devout. However after watching the Queen's monstrous child effortless destroy an enemy fleet, killing and devouring everyone it could catch, then she could be forgiven to feel as if she was in the presence of the Drowned God itself.
