Summary
Most villains had a period of time where they attempted (key word: attempted) to quit their crime sprees. The duration lasted about a week at most, though many villains lapsed back into their typical behavior within hours. The temptation to go out and break the law was like a chute of fine wine – abstaining was fruitless in the long run, and sobriety was boring and unpredictable compared to their usual routines. How was someone who was used to thrill and violence supposed to get up, pay taxes, and go about their day normally?
How were they supposed to fade into the background?
Villainy had, essentially, become a way of life for them. Giving it up wasn’t as simple as ‘going good.’
Or: Tobey tries to figure out who he is when he isn't Wordgirl's enemy, gets some advice, has a bit of a breakdown, and makes a trio of new (albeit strange) friends.
Not neccessarily in that order.
