Tommy is the only one in the entire family that doesn’t know that his dad, the one and only Philza Craft runs The Syndicate. AKA the most powerful mafia in the entire city. Phil intends to keep it that way for as long as possible, having his other sons Technoblade and Wilbur already a part of the family business. They all agreed not to get Tommy involved until he was ready.
Turns out Wilbur and Techno didn’t actually care about that agreement and started teaching their younger brother the ‘tricks of the trade’ years ago and Phil is just now finding out about this. Who in the world teaches a 14 year old how to hot-wire a car?

Tommy raises his eyebrows. ‘Santa Claus’ raises his higher. And they have a staring contest for god knows how long, his eyeballs might as well turn into floor soup, whatever that is.
or, Tommy's parents tend to forget to celebrate Christmas. But then, on a certain Christmas Eve, Santa Claus who is definitely not just some random robber arrives through his chimney a couple hours early.

He could tell from the way she dresses—there is an unsheathed sword on her side and a huge hat with a figure of skull bones on her head. Her hair is as pink as his own. That is odd, but it also calms him somehow.
“Are you doing okay?” the pirate asks.

He pushes the door closed and locks it with a quiet click before pulling off his pajama shirt to assess the damage. He has no real reason to- he feels perfectly safe even without the door locked -but old habits die hard. His eyes drift down to his spine and-

Correction: He had no reason to lock the door until he saw his back in the mirror.
There, shining defiantly in the reflective surface, is what could best be described as a stripe. The entire line of skin just over his spine is beet red, lumpy, and very irritated. Lines of something dark and sharp lurk just over the vertebrae between his shoulder blades, looking for all the world like spikes were going to surge up and break through the skin at any moment. Bright red dots have somehow managed to crop up overnight, surrounding the entire offending area and glinting dully in the warm light that fills the bathroom. It reminds him a lot of Wilbur’s scales.
Maybe because they were scales.
Why the fuck are there scales on his back.
