Summary
“The physician came in earlier,” Odysseus explained, helping her up slightly enough just so she could swallow, tipping the contents into her mouth. “He said you had a mild fever.”
Fever. Penelope resisted the urge to groan.
She had not fallen ill — well, physically ill — when her husband was away, yet now only a few weeks after his return she falls victim to a fever. A part of her wished to find amusement in the irony of it.
(Penelope falls ill. Penelope has fever dreams. They are not pleasant — hardly anything is pleasant when it comes to fevers, really. At the very least, Odysseus is there).

During the long night they’re gifted with after Odysseus’ arrival home, they swear off swapping tragedies for just this night and instead spend their time reacquainting themselves with each others bodies, taking stock of every change and development, and caring for one another.

Odysseus is finally home, he's back, so why does everything feel so wrong? why can't he do his job as king right again?
(also he gets wings eventually, please be patient, its a good few chapters in unfortunately, but alas, it was written this way and i can't change it)

Summary
**JUST A WARNING, i'm following through with this, the second chapter is halfway done and i have a complete outline so yeah. idk what to title this yet tbh soo work title for now!!**
During Love in Paradise, Odysseus instead has a panic attack and out of hysteria, jumps from the cliff.
Instead of checking up on Ithaca, Athena checks on Odysseus himself.
Instead of Odysseus' body landing within Ogygia's borders, it lands in the sea, Poseidon's domain. These three things change far more than fate expected. Or, simply, everyone is dead and therefore everything is better. Kinda.
As always, I'm horrible at summaries, it's basically Odysseus as a protector of demigods :))

Summary
He hated it.
He hated her.
What woman does not stand behind her son?!
Did she not bear him?! Did she not nurse him when he cried at her breast or soothe his childhood fears?! Did she not sit with him beneath Lady Selene’s sky when he was small, teaching him the constellations, naming the winds? Was all of that a lie?! How could she turn her back on him now, when he needed her most?!
Did she not see how they were devouring his home?!
They drank his wine, they slaughtered his herds, they slept in his father’s hall, they spoke of his mother like she was some prize sow fattened for market, something to be taken.
And she sat there, still, calm, refusing.
(or, Telemachus and Penelope's tumultuous relationship before and after Odysseus' return to Ithaca)
