Mitsuri hesitated, her grip on her sword faltering. “Nene, you don’t understand. He’s a demon. They can’t be trusted—”
“I know him!” Nene cried, her voice breaking. She turned her head to look at Hanako, her eyes searching his for something only she could see. “I know him…”
The courtyard fell silent, save for the soft rustling of the morning breeze. Hanako swallowed hard, his glowing eyes meeting hers.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered, his voice hoarse and low. “I—” He hesitated, his throat tightening. “I couldn’t save you… not last time. But I’ll protect you now.”
Tears welled in Nene’s eyes, but she didn’t move. She didn’t let go of him.

As Yashiro and Amane meet, they both fall in love aboard the ship and both start a relationship behind Yashiro's mother and fiancee's back. But 3 days later, on April 15th, a tragic event happens which left Yashiro traumatized for the rest of her life.
