Not only that, but an assholish android who deems it necessary to not only question Gavin's professionalism but also invades his personal life. Ironically, the deviant may have a better grasp of living than Gavin Reed does.

The RK900 thought this would be a simple task. Prove his invaluableness to the precinct, solve cases, and move up as quickly as possible. Annoying his partner was just a treat on top of an already perfect plan. But Gavin Reed may be the one mystery Nines can't solve. Hank took them in after the revolution has ended successfully, and for teenage android models Connor and Nines, this means they get their basic rights, including the one to education.
Being forced to join a school for the first time, they are bullied all while Nines struggles with friends and Connor struggles with his brother's declining mental health.
Nothing seems to get better until Nines discovers that there are far more layers to Gavin than he could have ever predicted; in the end, it might be Nines who has to help his bully before it's too late.

After all, they had all those unused AIs that they couldn't legally put in android bodies for sale anymore. What better way to recover their reputation than to tap into one of the best pastimes ever?
Detective Gavin Reed wonders how the hell that ploy worked so well. He had always found Cyberlife shady, and while that wouldn’t be changing anytime soon, he also wasn't one to turn down a free gift . . . even if it comes with an unexpected anomaly.
(Connor, now legally a member of the DPD, happily handles a series of seemingly unrelated cases. It wasn't until Hank points it out that he realizes something sinister was going on, and it all seems to be pointing back to Cyberlife.)

After the end of the Revolution and the successful establishment of New Jericho, RK900 has lost his only purpose yet again. When directed to find a new one, he settles on journalism - the only other pursuit he thinks worth his time.
However, the public, and a certain Gavin Reed - a once-respected journalist, are finding it... difficult... to accept the tides of change.
It is now RK900's objective to fix that. -
