Summary
Long ago or fourteen years to be exact, a drop of starlight fell from the sky into the borders of the Dark Kingdom. Finding a host in the King and Queen’s daughter, the young girl is sent away for her own protection.
Rose Adelstein was a bright girl with a penchant for stargazing. Sheltered from everything outside her small edge of the city due to her parents protectiveness, her world has always lived in the front of her yard. This is an idea formulated from a discord rant that @Gues posted, where Hugo shows up in Old Corona after the events of “Queen For a Day”. He partners up with Varian and they have a villain arc together, because you know what’s better than one crime alchemist? Two crime alchemists! Lady Caine and Donella also make appearances, because I love the trope of “crime mom and her smaller crime son”. Hector and Adira may feature as well, once I figure out where the plot is going.

Tangled AU where Rapunzel dies in SOTS due to not being able to control the black rocks. The Sundrop is returned to flower form and Eugene must take Varian on a journey to the Dark Kingdom in order to use the Moonstone's powers to bring her back. However, unbeknownst to Eugene, Varian had fabricated the possibility of bringing Rapunzel back from the dead in fear of going to prison and doesn't actually know if it will work.
