In another timeline Sabito spared the demon girl after witnessing the bravery of her older brother, he sees a little of his younger self in him, at least he hopes the boy can protect his sister, unlike him, who couldn't save Giyuu during the final selection. Giyuu doesn't know what is happening; one moment he's slicing Lower Five's neck, another moment he faces two slayers who hold an uncanny resemblance to his late friends.
