This is a sequel to William and Gromit, but you can read this one first if you really want to.
Maskless Mark = Jeong Kyubok (For anyone who's new)
Kyubok missed William. He missed him so much that he broke into the GDA and stole two pieces of refined technology. A dimensional portal gun, and a time machine. Handy how portable they were.
However, going back in time and seeing your dead boyfriend/husband as a teenager again was… a bit strange when you were almost a hundred years old. So Kyubok had to help him out in other ways.

Summary
William had been kidnapped? (Since he didn't know if a version of his best friend making him pancakes every morning while singing Mexican songs counted as kidnapping) by several Mark Graysons from other dimensions.
They had attacked his dimension, but the moment they saw William, they all agreed to stop and keep him for themselves. With Angstrom dead, they couldn't return to their own dimensions.
Time passes.
In fact, this isn't unpleasant.

William ran. The city blurred around him. Skeletons of fallen skyscrapers, destroyed rubble of businesses, lifeless bodies – they were all around as he sprinted. His injured foot left a dotted trail of blood after him, each step becoming sharper than the last. The glass shards still embedded in the sole of his foot burned, grinding deeper with every strike of the pavement. He pushed past the pain anyways, even when he heard desperate pleas cried out behind him. It pulled at his heartstrings for some reason. This mark wasn’t his mark. He killed so many, including one of his classmates. So why do I feel so bad?
Because he looks like Mark, William’s mind helpfully supplied.

Cecil feels his stomach clench in apprehension as he looks at the Mark through grainy security footage. Hands behind his head and expression perfectly calm surrounded by reanimen.
No yelling, no cocky smirk, no crazy eyes.
There's also none of the anxiety or anger or any of the complicated array of emotions that Cecil is used to seeing on those features. Just the sort of calm confidence that stems from the complete and utter certainty that he’s the strongest person in the room. Cecil is intimately familiar with this kind of cool surety, since he used to see the look all the time.

Or: One of the Mark's isn't actually evil and he wants to stay. Complicated, heart-wrenching, and sometimes funny things result from this choice.
