Summary
If one tried to point to the moment when Caesar's fate was sealed, they would probably say it was when he was elected dictator for life. Maybe they would say it was sometime in between his second and third consecutive triumph, or when the civil war began, but they would all be wrong. Caesar’s fate was sealed thirty-seven years before it happened, when Servilia, sister of Cato the younger and husband of Marcus Junius Brutus, decided she was sick and tired of giving birth to girls. Thus, Quarta was renamed Marcus Junius Brutus the younger, and he was to be Servilia’s son.
