Amarelan straightened her back and schooled her expression. If she was going to take this mantle, she would do it her way. She would do everything she could to make things right again, before putting down the sword before it could be turned back on her the way it had Andraste. Stitch the rest of the sky back together, defeat a blighted magister from ages past, get the Chantry out of its own ass and back to helping the people it's supposed to help, and make sure the mages and templars can be normal people again. "Guard Langlois is not a templar," she said with a nod to the young man.
"Ah, that makes it alright then," Anders rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "It's a detail and you know it."
A sigh. Cassandra visibly clenched her jaw, then spoke as though what she had to say next was scorching her tongue. "Varric advised it."

Hawke and Fenris grab for their blades. The elf doesn’t flinch, barely glances sideways at them. She merely licks her teeth and continues to stare at Anders. Gaze heavy as it bores into the mage.
“Anders,” Hawke says, carefully measured, “who is this?”
“Yeah, Anders, who am I?” The elf teases.
“Do not play games. Who are you?” Fenris bites out. The leather on the sword hilt creaking in his grip. Anders shakes himself a bit, jarred out of his shocked stupor by Fenris’ hissed words.
“This – this is Iola Tabris. This is The Hero of Ferelden.”
