Like stepping through a portal, Dáire finds himself in the middle of a grass field. He hears crickets chirping in the warm summer night, and the air smells sweet. The moon – one moon! – is a thin pale blue crescent. As he tilts his head up to look at the rest of the sky, he sees why Aurana is so excited: shooting stars. Hundreds of them.
“We have to get as high as we can,” she’s telling him, digging around in her pack. She pulls out a bug catching net triumphantly. “Here.”

And so meeting Isaiah in the Dream Realm became part of his living nightmare along with the workplace shenanigans he has to deal with everyday.
