Jason plays the part a little too well for the crowd - but underneath the roleplaying, their real feelings are breaking through, bared for the audience to witness.

Tim Drake has always had a strong disdain for magic, after all Gotham was a cursed city made of death and ruin. when John Constantine arrives chasing a mage with powerful and ancient artifacts? Its a normal day in this hell of a city. Though when dealing with magic? Things tend to change faster than the tides of the ocean.

Tim gets hit in the fight with a mage looking to leach magic from Gotham's catacombs and finds himself swapped with another version of himself, nothing in his life is a coincidence and within the chaos of trying to find a way home, dark secrets get pulled to light and shatter illusions that had been carefully constructed. Only time will tell if this is where they find themselves in ruin or closer than they ever could've imagined.

Summary
The start up systems check cataloged a great deal of damage, which Tim idly recorded for later examination when he actually had the capacity to do something about it.
That was, until he started noticing some strange terms. Things like “stasis disengaged,” “life support at 24% capacity,” and “sustained significant damage to remaining organic components.”
It took until the automatic processes neared the completion of their assessment, declaring an “unacceptable resource drain,” and concluding that it would “isolate and purge all unnecessary organics,” that Tim realized just what he was looking at. This wasn’t some empty droid that he could assimilate into his network. This was a cyborg, one who’d apparently been buried and forgotten and had to shut themself almost entirely down in order to preserve power and save their own life.
“No,” croaked a weak voice, and Tim snapped to attention. This was a person, and their own programming had just decided that all of the pieces that made them them were unnecessary. They were about to die, right in front of him, and it would be all Tim’s fault.

Ever since sparring with Tim, and learning a bit of the other vigilante’s time away from Gotham, Jason can’t help but want to get to know the other better. So, he suggests target practice as a way to blow off steam. He gets a little more information than he was looking for though, not that this does anything to deter him from his growing interest in the other.

Now, Tim would normally say he’s a pretty chill guy. In fact, he believes himself to be the least chaotic of the Bats(Excluding Cass. Any chaos that happened around her was simply not her fault, no exceptions). They certainly were not the first people that came to mind when Tim thought about relaxing in any capacity. Don't even get him started on Bruce.

Yet his mind found itself skeptical. He realized– Bruce might be alive, and if we don’t find him we might never.
He was called delusional. More and more things he hadn’t realized he was so attached to, that gave him a sense of security and identity were taken away.
People he thought he could trust to ask for help would not. The ones who would’ve no matter what were gone. His time as Robin was no more, uniform given away to someone who would do him harm.
Deeper and deeper he went into this darkness.
Fine. What did it matter? He didn’t need any of them, he could do it all by himself. He would do it all by himself.
More and more lines and boundaries he held were stepped over and over and over. Going through various countries, until eventually he is found.

Monica bristles at the endearment, but her brain is still catching up. She stands, wiping her free hand on her jeans, and forces herself to look at him.
“Thanks for the save,” she says, voice brittle. “Are you going to kill them?”
He looks down at the wreckage of the three men, all alive but not in any hurry to move. “They’re not worth a bullet. I’ll call an ambulance.” He glances up at the fire escapes, scanning the shadows. “This is a bad corner for you. Take a different route next time.”
