Summary
Nothing has really changed even in the city, in reality: they’re still protecting him in their own way, and he’s doing just the same in his. And yet. There is something that doesn’t quite add up to all of it, and Jongho has a hunch that it will probably mean trouble if he doesn’t play his cards well. His secret could be uncovered if he tries prying in theirs, but if he doesn’t try to understand what they’re doing, he fears he might lose them. Not in the sense that they would leave him, no, but in the way Seonghwa’s words had stuck to him, and how that mixed with the fact that he can see how they’re shifting back to their old persona – even in the slightest – makes fear weight on his chest.
