Someone shifts at his back, twisting round to press their head against his shoulder. John, he thinks, laid down to rest. With more effort than it should be worth he twists his head, intending to plant a kiss upon his brow. The world stretches and his mind with it, warping til he swears it is not John led down behind him but a mirror. The mirage shifts in sleep, winces, cries out, and opens it’s eyes to alight in confusion on Henry’s own.
