  • i think bristlefrost's death is a good impactful well written death
  • one of the best in warrior cats in fact
  • but i also think it reflects a wider more concerning trend in the series
  • i feel like a lot of content about ~women inherently suffering~ tends to be coopted by bad people
  • so for the record if you're a terf this is not for you this will never be for you literally fuck off
  • this isn't about how being a woman is ~bad~ or ~suffering~
  • this is a fic about how being a woman in warrior cats sucks
  • and how it affects the series and its characters
  • spottedfire and feathercrow briefly come up
  • for the record i do not support those ships and am not comfortable with them
  • but i felt they were important to mention as like
  • a part of the series
  • and how those ships being canon in the erins eyes affected the female characters' fates
  • considering spottedleaf was literally double-killed just so she wouldn't get in the way of a ship
  • aka i don't like those ships but brought them up to emphasize that
  • being a female love interest is the worst thing you can be in warrior cats
  • sorry if anyone is ooc i havent even read half these series
  • this is more about meta than anything
  • this was written like immediately after alitm came out but its just now being published
  • because I'm lazy
