The air around them seemed to still. Binghe didn't exactly tense up at those words, but he seemed to hold Shen Qingqiu with a little less certainty. Anxiety crawling through his limbs, worried about why his Shizun was bringing this up. Staying silent for a moment, Binghe lifted his head off of Shen Qingqiu's back and turned his Shizun around until they were face to face.

One instance of Binghe taking the initiative to help out a young girl in need makes Shen Qingqiu start to ponder something. He realizes that this entire time, Binghe has wanted children but has done everything not to put that pressure on Shen Qingqiu, who can't have kids of their own. After overcoming some misunderstandings, they can get on the same page.

They made their way along the main footpaths used, before going off the trail and finding themselves in a thick, dense array of trees.
Pushing through it as the disciple stammered out, "They seriously just appeared there, we don't know where they came from."

She recounts her days to him, offering updates even if he can’t hear her or even remember her when he wakes. She finds comfort in her one-way conversation with him. And she also finds comfort in Riku. Although he blames Namine for the suffering of his friend, they must work together to achieve the same goal, he realizes that maybe The Witch isn’t so bad.
