Summary
At first, Xie Lian didn’t think anything of the influx of worshippers at Mount Taicang. Then, he started listening a little closer to their prayers. He wasn’t in the business of saving the common people anymore, but he felt it was his duty to ease their minds or offer what he could. Slowly, it became clear that his reputation had changed. People prayed for many things, but the overarching theme was something simple – healing.
