Summary
Red Son and MK have not been in a relationship for very long and that was almost by design. Red Son was still unsure if he should be taking this risk and letting his heart sink further but once the hero of the city had confessed to him, he couldn't find the strength to say 'no'.
All of his frustrations, regrets and anxieties began overflowing when a fight with the Gold and Silver Demons turned unnecessarily deadly. Suddenly, Red Son could no longer ignore the elephant in the room.
His immortality made everything much worse for him in the long run.

They all know that Red Son knows MK will say 'yes' when he finally asks the question, but the poor guy is too anxious, too paranoid and too insecure for his own good.
So each of MK's closest friends and family have to help him get over all of that.
Hopefully they can convince him before MK finally decides to pop the question first.

Once, when the land was young and new, the Gods, the demons, and the mortals lived together. The world shaped by the battles between the Gods and the demons. Mortals attempting to thrive with what they could, living on the lands created by beings stronger than them. Eventually creating a connection with the Gods through shrines and offerings, in turn the Gods granted their protection.
When the number of demons grew, the amount of power diminished. Those deemed too weak were cast away. A tentative agreement was reached between those outcasted and the mortals. Demons allowed to live in the structures mortals had built. It was a slow process, but a calm living was eventually reached.
All seemed well. Until the Gods and powerful demon suddenly disappeared one morning. No reason, no explanation. Those left behind having to wonder what could have happened. It was all…strange. Worrisome. It was a clear sign something was wrong. Now it was just a question of when it was all going to fall apart.

After the defeat of Lady Bone Demon, Iris (LBD's Host) is hunted by many demons. This leads her to Macaque's dojo. And after some convincing and saving Rumble and Savage, Macaque agrees to train her so that Iris can protect herself. But as training goes on, MK begins to wonder why he's been seeing less and less of Iris. A fight breaks out and Iris goes missing. Will Macaque learn to trust someone who constantly haunts his memories and will Iris learn the hard ships of reality? Who knows, I sure do but you don't.

I’m not great at summarizing, but this is an AU I’ve created, that is basically the same as cannon up until when we meet Macaque in the original LMK timeline. Macaque is a genuinely good guy in this au. At least, he’s trying to be. He’s not manipulative to MK in the slightest, and has changed a great deal since Wukong killed him. He’s changed for the better. I don’t think the Lady Bone Demon will like that though..
