Summary
I wrote this for school for a novel study. One of our options was fanfic so that is what this is. It's the second piece I used in my final writing portfolio and the word limit was regrettably 800 words. The book is called Home Fire by Kamila Shamsie. There is implied suicide, graphic deaths (they were exploded - it was implied they were exploded at the end of the book) and very sad thoughts so read with caution.
this is my statement of purpose I had to do for the portfolio:
The purpose of this piece was to explore a potential effect the end of Home Fire had on Isma. I wanted to explore her guilt over all their deaths, her expression of grief after the fact and the mental effect their deaths had on her.
