Summary
There were times when Kanaya reminded Rose of her mother, before they had kids, but she could seamlessly brush it off. But with the kids, the constant indulgence was beginning to chafe against her heart; bringing back bittersweet memories of watching her mother splayed out on the couch in the dark, rich purple booze staining her pretty white lab coat and dribbling down her cheek.
Rose didn’t know how to deal with those memories, and unsurprisingly, Kanaya wasn’t sure either.
