Эта история - исправление и дополнение канона. Аниме очень классное, но ему отчаянно не хватает времени (и порой логики), чтобы достаточно хорошо раскрыть своих персонажей. Здесь акцент повествования смещен на Акселя и от его лица ведется большая часть глав. Больше времени уделяется построению отношений между членами команды. Хронология этой истории идет параллельно событиям в аниме, но другим путем. Будет уделяться много времени предысториям персонажей.

It's been a month since the events at Namsan. The Honmoon is back up and the demons are gone, but Huntrix is struggling with how things went down. Suo takes a step closer to Nirei, then another, then he's closing the distance between them.
He's close again. Just like in the bathroom. That feels like weeks ago, somehow. Only then does he break eye contact with Nirei, and he knows exactly where he's looking. It's Sakura.
It will always be Sakura, Nirei realizes.

He was satisfied that that heart would go on beating for a while longer. For long enough that, perhaps, they would have the time to bond both of their souls together, for all of Jack’s eternity.
