Summary
Theo manages to block out the creepy singsong melody for a grand total of three seconds as he minds his footing, but as his head clears the floor of the attic and he’s overcome with a musty wave of age and heat and dust, the sound hits him again full force.
He rolls himself up into a crouch on the rickety plywood boards and crawls forward toward the source of the noise. He’s very brave for doing this, really. This could be the actual pinnacle of his character reformation. He thinks Liam owes him, like, at least two tender blowjobs of gratitude just for hauling himself up the ladder into the unknown like this.
