Summary
Starscream had begun to understand over time that there were things he used to believe, to represent. He was Second In Command to the Decepticons and with Megatron’s increasingly concerning behavior with Dark Energon. He’s not sure if he wants to stay.
When his Trine gives him a way out, he’s remains undecided until Megatron destroys what little trust he had in the leader and Starscream follows behind his brothers straight to the Autobots.
With the decline in his health, he’s unsure if he can handle becoming an Autobot, or let alone handle the truth he’s been hiding or the past friends he has to face.
Nothing can prepare him though for the sudden life he created; unplanned and the reason for his decline. Now with a sparkling in the mix, he has never felt so unsure about his future than he did now.

Silence, immediate and defending, as Megatron's jaw falls right off of his face. Optimus mirrors this in an expression of abject horror.
Iacon is at peace, but their Prime and Protector are a pair of angry, blithering idiots. Cybertron would be a lot better off if they'd just kiss and make up already.

This was the mech that the Thirteen had practically raised, forged or not. Their pride and light, all dressed in gold and the color of an early solar cycle. It was Sentinel out of all of his peers that Zeta looked at and said, “This is the one. This one is destined for greatness.” It was Sentinel that Zeta listened to with rapt attention, bantering with the little mechanical bird they brought up from the lower levels of Iacon. Zeta lifted that bird and showed him the light of Cybertron’s suns.
