There were many things in her household Stella hated. Stolas, for one, though that was obvious to anyone who spent more than a couple of minutes with the two of them. She hated the help– not all of them, but the ones who had not yet learned how to blend into the background as they should, sticking out garishly against the opulence of the rest of her life. She hated the cracks in the kitchen's marbled floor, imperceptible to anyone whose eyes weren't so sharp as hers, and the stains embedded in the counter that not even time could wash out. She hated how cold her room was– her room, not the one she occasionally shares with Stolas– as though a little piece of her brother lingered, even when his visits had stretched from every week to every month. 'Family duties', he'd excused it as. Things she shouldn't worry her pretty little head about.
Most of all, she thinks. Most of all, she hates those fucking. Flowers.

All those repressed emotions and years of abuse have some unwanted magical side effects. Stella isn't a fan.
