Wanted to really like this story, but the dialogue stopped me. Or maybe it’s the writing? Like, it somehow is okay but also really awkward at the same time? Or... it really needs an editor. There’s so many little mistakes that add up into a story I can’t read. One example. Penny’s aunt and uncle are talking to her. But then for some reason, the dialogue goes “ Just... We're a bit worried about Pen.” As though they’re talking about her, not to her. I figure maybe there needs to be a “you” inserted in there, with a comma, but it’s not. So I can’t. I could not even finish a whole chapter.
