Summary
Xie Lian has learned to live without luck. Hardships no longer surprise him, nor do they break his spirit. Though the acts of compassion are rare, they're not negligible. So when he stumbles into a man, while trying to escape yet another misfortune, and is offered kindness out of boredom, Xie Lian doesn’t think much of it at first.
The man is lonely and immortal. Just like him. What does it matter if he is dead, as long as they understand each other? He simply hadn’t expected to grow attached. Or to fall so completely for that dangerous charm. For the first time in centuries, the road no longer feels aimless with someone walking beside him. Abandoning his lifelong vows becomes an easy decision, even if one day the ghost realizes Xie Lian is not worth it.
Or: Hua Cheng has no memories and no purpose, and the mysterious cultivator could be his undoing – or the cry for connection he has searched for centuries without ever knowing it.

Summary
Whoever or whatever had cursed Wu Ming must have been a creature of immeasurable power and perverse cruelty. On top of that, they were clearly mocking the Heavenly Realm, creating such a horrid replica of the punishment that was designed to tame the divine and applying it to the undead.
Who has done this to you? WHO DARED? WHY?! Xie Lian wanted to scream, raw rage igniting his chest as tears welled up in his eyes....
In pursuit of what they believe to be a puppet master, the State Preceptor of Yong'An and his student, the Crown Prince, set off into the forest. They do find a ghost, but it is not the one Xie Lian ever expected to see again. -

Summary
Xie Lian, as usual, faces a series of unfortunate events that lead to his expulsion from a village. After attempting to help the villagers by repairing a roof and preparing food, he inadvertently causes chaos, resulting in a roof collapse, ruined meals, and a fire. As he flees, he tumbles down a slope and injures himself.
In search of a way to clean his wounds, Xie Lian stumbles upon a stream, where he encounters ghostly boats filled with various spirits. Believing he resembles them in his battered state, he is invited aboard one of the boats to journey to Ghost City. The city is vibrant and full of energy, filled with ghosts and supernatural beings, prompting Xie Lian to feel a flicker of hope that he may finally escape his long streak of bad luck. This marks a potential turning point for him after 500 years of misfortune.

The original idea that prompted this fic:
Now that he's crawled up out of the coffin, Xie Lian begins having vivid daydreams of a beautiful grassy field of wildflowers, if only to cope with how much his actual reality sucks. He has no means of getting up and walking away from his grave, but at least now he's no longer buried?
One day as he's laying there, he sees a lovely silver butterfly, and wishes that he could be so beautiful and free. His daydreams take this a little too literally; as Hua Cheng takes care of Xie Lian back at Paradise Manor, Xie Lian believes himself to be one of those silver butterflies and Hua Cheng is the pretty red flower giving his tired wings rest and the nectar/energy he needs to recuperate! He begins to talk to Hua Cheng in his delusional state, often mumbling words of praise and thanks to his "Little Red Flower"
Unfortunately, when Xie Lian becomes less delusional, he has no memory of who this handsome man in red is and where he is!The first ending to my other fic The Ten Of Swords!

As he remembers how to function again, these thoughts unknowingly become prayers to one very confused Ghost King. Xie Lian also discovers a strange form of cultivation that allows him to not die of starvation by lying in a field doing nothing (dw this will be better explained in the fic itself).
AKA...Xie Lian learns how to love again by praying to Wu Ming, Hua Cheng finds his God again by listening to Xie Lian pray to him, and Hua Cheng eventually finds out that his God's feelings for him may not be entirely platonic anymore..The third ending to my other fic The Ten Of Swords!

Summary
The original idea that prompted this fic:
Xie Lian is unable to get up after he crawls out of the coffin. Luckily, there is a peach tree not far from his grave! Ruoye helps Xie Lian regain his energy by feeding him these peaches as much as possible until he's able to leave the grave behind and venture out into the world again.
Hua Cheng was too late again. He eventually finds the grave and peach tree and is distraught when he realizes exactly what happened there. He takes a peach back to Paradise Manor to plant in his garden, if only to protect and nurture a part of his God, no matter how small. At some point, he begins to offer a few of the blossoms and eventually the peaches themselves on the altar in Qiandeng Temple.The second ending to my other fic The Ten Of Swords!
