Summary
Set during Chapter 50. Astarion being completely smitten. Can technically be read as standalone smut with feelings.
Because now he had exactly what he’d wanted—protection—except it’d all been built on a ruse of sincerity, or what felt like a ruse, but Astarion hadn’t thought there was any sincerity left, and so of course it’s all a lie.
A lie of a pretty dream of exactly the thing he’d prayed for all those many nights after he’d clawed himself to freedom—the thing he’d prayed for in that long year of silence.
A dream two hundred years too late.
