Feeling like a schoolgirl about to be lectured, Sunday dragged her eyes up from the relatively safe vicinity of Ratio's arms and chest (oh, who was she kidding, there was nothing safe about that) to meet his rose-hued eyes with trepidation. Ratio gazed at her with an odd sort of intense yet benign interest, not unlike his usual scholarly mien, but she could feel the energy rolling off him. He was clearly enjoying this.
"I'll make it easy for you," Ratio began again, that familiar patronizing tone curling into his voice. "Lift your skirt so I may examine you."
Sunday limps back onto the Astral Express late one night after an unexpected rendezvous with the Stellaron Hunters leaves her bruised, tattered, and exceptionally well-fucked.
Unfortunately, one Dr. Veritas Ratio has been visiting the Express and is still awake to intercept her attempt to sneak through the party car. A misunderstanding leads to Sunday allowing the doctor to examine her injuries, only for it to become obvious to both of them that, for all her shame, Sunday still inexplicably aches to be touched.
Naturally, Ratio has a solution.

Aventurine's smile is worryingly devious when he video-calls Sunday around the time he would normally be leaving work.
"Hey, little birdie. Ratio's coming over again tonight. Why don't you freshen up before we arrive, hm?"
Sunday already showered this morning, but he's been cleaning the kitchen so intensely that he's worked up a sweat and everything feels grimy. He wonders if his appearance is what prompted that remark, or if Aventurine is hinting at something more specific.
"Is he expecting…?" Sunday trails off, knowing he doesn't need to clarify further. Aventurine has only involved Ratio in their sexual escapades once so far, but it was merely a matter of time before the other shoe dropped.
"Mm, I suppose that depends on you." Aventurine's voice lowers to a purr as he steps into an elevator. "I was just thinking to myself today, you know, it's really a shame that perfect little peach of an ass hasn't had both Ratio and myself inside it yet…"

“Why don’t you say hello to Sunday, too?” Aventurine prompts, making Sunday want to disappear into the void. “He’s been dying to see you all day.”
Sunday forces himself to meet Ratio’s gaze. Forces himself to breathe evenly and avoid shrinking back and swallow his rapidly pooling saliva as Ratio drags his eyes down Sunday’s exposed body.
Do you like what you see? He wants to ask, but it’s a tacky question that would reek of insecurity, were he to air it. It's hard to imagine he'd once stared this man down with an air of absolute authority. What a fool he'd been.
“I see you’ve expanded your wardrobe,” Ratio muses, so serious in delivery that it takes Sunday a moment to realize he’s making a joke. “Do you enjoy letting him dress you up like a little doll?”
Sunday’s throat goes dry, despite everything.
Aventurine decides that bullying Sunday is a job for two, so he invites the good doctor over for a little fun. Sunday dissolves into panic, wondering how he's going to manage to impress Ratio enough to ensure the doctor won't just turn around and convince Aventurine to be rid of him.
After all, why keep him around when they have each other?

“Good evening, princess,” Aventurine greets, swanning upstairs into his loft bedroom without knocking.
As he expects, Sunday’s wrapped up in a plush robe (one of Aventurine’s, notably, not his own) and sitting on the bed, legs tucked up beneath him in a staged manner as he focuses on his phone. Nobody lounges in bed like that. There’s a few empty glass bottles of water on the side table, and Aventurine knows he’s already gotten rid of any evidence he’s been eating candy or other such ‘frivolous’ snacks.
Sunday’s words, not his. Aventurine fucking loves frivolity. Which probably explains why he’s so fond of the feathered little thing currently wrapped up in his blankets.
Aventurine comes home from work to find that his favorite live-in pet has been brooding and misbehaving while he was away. Luckily, he has just the thing to provide a little much-needed discipline.
Sunday's gonna hate it.
