Tony swore he could smell burning flesh, but didn't have enough time to think about it before there was a flash of green light and suddenly Loki was standing where the snake once did. Actual Loki. Person Loki. Guy-who-should-be-dead Loki.
He. Fucking. Knew it.
A doombot attacked Loki, but it's mechanical arm went right through him. Long fingers gripped the robot’s head from behind and glowed with green light.
All the doom bots around them collapsed.
“I may not know robotics, but Doom’s magic is easily manipulated.” Loki shrugged, a small smirk growing on his face.
“I knew you were the snake!”
“Of course I was.” Loki said and his smirk turned to a grin. “But who will ever believe you?”

Basically my attempt to make sense of Ragnarok!Thor's comment about Loki trying to kill him "on many, many occasions" and stabbing him when they were eight. As fun as it is to joke about Loki stabbing people just for funzies, he just wasn't really shown to be in the position he could do that without dire consequences. Canonically we've seen him stab Thor maybe twice? Once for a ruse and the other Loki cried about it. And Frigga died from being stabbed so it's evidently still a big deal on Asgard despite healing capabilities.Also, for the sake of this fic being possible at all, Odin is off-world/away dealing with political matters of some sort.
Most likely a one-shot.

Time travel is a fickle thing. The Avengers accidently let Loki escape in one of the timelines though they leave that for the native Avengers to deal with. With the tesseract in hand, Loki makes and impulse request and finds himself in front of a Pet Shop. Having no where else to go, he hides among the Midgardian creatures. He never expected this path to end with him learning what he had been missing about the word 'Family.'
Peter Parker was allowed to pick one animal to take home as a new friend. Out of all the animals, it was the pitch black, green eyed snake that caught his eye. Imagine his amazement when he got home to find out it could talk.
