Sam's started to notice something. That someone's been there for him all his life.
EXCERPT:
“So. Looks like the computers didn’t explode. Or whatever was supposed to happen.”
Sam smiled, glancing next to him.
“Hey, there,” said Sam.
Because he knew him. Not well. He just… he did. The man, for his part, didn’t seem too worried.
“Shouldn’t you be freaking out that I know you? Did I break time-traveling protocol here?” asked Sam.
There were crinkles near his eyes – a smile. Tucking his hair behind his ear, a little glint of that robot arm of his. The man turning to Sam. Thinking hard on the question. Shrugging.
“You’re smart. Bound to happen,” said the man, “Nice to talk to you, if only for a moment.”
