Summary
Viktor's lengthy fingers ran over his own neck, wrapping around his throat the way that Jayce used to do. The way he'd choke him and make him gag on his cock..he wished for a feeling like that. Just another taste of Jayce.
He slowly let his hand travel down his chest, touching where he used to have nipples, but now they were more like metal plates of nothing. Viktor circled each spot with his thumb, whimpering as he tried to recall the sensation.

Viktor is torn between two worlds: the prim and proper Academy of Piltover, where he devotes himself to his thesis and his research lab; and the downtrodden, polluted city he still calls home. Years of working himself to the bone and hiding all of his rough edges have left him jaded. He finds himself trapped amidst a troubled past, a dull present, and an incredibly bleak future.
The status quo is forever changed when he meets Jayce Talis, a new research assistant in his lab, just after the first of many strange dreams.

“Uh, in a moment. I’ve almost got this one figured out.” He needs to prove to Viktor that he’s still in it, still shares their dream. He was Viktor’s partner first, before he was Piltover’s progress. He was Viktor’s first. God, focus! He looks at what he just wrote, decides it’s indecipherable, and erases it to start at the most recent step.
Jayce hears the approaching click of Viktor’s cane, and a cold bottle of water gets tapped against his arm. “Drink,” Viktor orders. Jayce takes the bottle without thinking. He takes a couple sips, and moves to set it somewhere— “All of it.”
Jayce makes a face at him, but obliges. “Happy now?”
“Yes. Good.” Jayce ignores the way the second word makes him feel. A smile tugs at Viktor’s pale lips. “You have been… busy all day. You probably have not had a lot of time to hydrate.”
The protest that he actually drank rather a lot at the gala dies in his throat as he recognizes that Viktor’s still thinking of Jayce’s wellbeing, upset as he might be that Jayce has been spending less and less time in the lab as of late. Still taking care of him.

Summary
Viktor is nearing his limit. Ignoring his colleague's obscenely "friendly" touches while inside and outside their lab is becoming impossible. Since the day they met, Jayce has been challenging Viktor's willpower. Viktor wants him. And he's pretty sure Jayce is up for it. Though concern over remaining professional and choosing a solitary lifestyle have kept Viktor in check... so far.
All Viktor needs to do is give himself the green light and get out of his own way. And when that happens, Jayce Talis better hope there's something sturdy nearby to hold onto.
(Inspired by the idea that Viktor had "closed up shop" but then Jayce shows up and he's like, "jk i'm open but for him only".)

The old-new hammer should feel heavy. Or, at least, as heavy as his previous one. It doesn’t. He lifts it like a flower plucked from the earth, adjusts it in his palms like a ball about to be pitched.
Still, he raises his instrument, chillingly light in his grip, and aims it squarely at his heart. The fear in Viktor’s eyes doesn’t suit him.

"On us. I failed too." His tone is matter-of-fact, but that ever-present amusement hides within his eyes.
Jayce shakes his head with a breathy chuckle, "Okay... so we failed the test. We are too easily distracted." Viktor's lips part as he watches Jayce lift their hands to press his own kiss into them.
"What's your analysis, partner?"
"We are distracted. If I were to rush my analysis, I would guess the solution would be to wear out the novelty of... this." He tilts their hands as a show of proof, and presses them gently onto Jayce's chest.
Jayce leans his head down, "And to wear out the novelty of something...?"
His lips curl in a futile attempt to hide his gratified smile, "Well.. you do it more."

Summary
Don’t get him wrong, Viktor is a freak himself. Viktor’s libido, though, isn’t as high as Jayce’s. When they get it on, Viktor goes all out, does unspeakable and takes unspeakable, all until the first ray of sunshine comes, and the two of them barely have any energy left to clean up the mess they made. But with Jayce, that isn’t the case.
That is why Viktor can’t continue with the protocol that he is used to. More often than not, Viktor can feel the need radiating from Jayce. If it was just the need, without touches and caresses, without teases, he supposes he would be fine. But when Jayce decides to breathe against his neck, glide his hand down, and rest it on Viktor’s inner thigh when the same hand should be doing science instead of chemistry to Viktor’s body, that is indeed a problem.
This desperation could only be sent from the Devil. So, Viktor will get the devil back and be the one towards Jayce for a week or so to teach him a lesson.
