Summary
Countless stories litter the Lands Between, tales of Tarnished seeking to become the new Elden Lord. Not every Tarnished can succeed, but none can fail to leave their mark. Your story is only one of them.
Your story is one of adventure. Swords will clash and blood will be spilt. Lives will be ended - including your own, many times. Oaths will be made and loyalties will be broken, with consequences that spread far beyond what you could have ever known.
Your story is also one of romance. Perhaps. A comrade, meant for only the briefest alliance, who becomes a friend, and then something more, even if it's not always clear what 'more' is. Campfires will be shared. Tea will be drunk. Fists will be bumped. Half-wolves will be dominated, gently and lovingly. (Do you think we're joking about the gentle dominance? We're not.)

Summary
The Shadowbound Beasts are sworn to their Empyrean from the moment they are bestowed. Such is the case of Maliketh, the Black Blade, as well as Blaidd, the Half-Wolf. These beasts are charged with protecting their Empyrean with their lives, to serve their Master or Mistress without fail, or to slaughter them should the Greater Will feel threatened.
Lýkos, however, has no Empyrean. Bestowed as an infant to grow alongside her Empyrean, her prospective Mistress did not survive infancy. Lýkos was cast into the Badlands the day after her Empyrean's death at the hands of Blackflame wielding assassins, seen as a failure for not protecting her Empyrean in despite of her infant state.
As a Shadowbound without an Empyrean, Lýkos grew up alone, forced to survive in a land seen as deadly even by those such as Godfrey himself. Yet, somehow, be it through grit or luck, or perhaps both, Lýkos has survived. In this day and age, where warring Demigods have wrought chaos and desolation on the Lands Between, Lýkos presents a wholly unique candidate for providing change to the devastated lands. Wether or not she succeeds is to be seen
