The succulent was the first offense.
When Reki visited Langa’s room for the first time, he immediately proclaimed it was "lacking life" and that it "hurt my eyes, why is it so white in here, Langa."
Langa had shrugged, and mentioned he just hadn’t gotten around to decorating yet. Reki looked affronted. Langa had ignored him in favor of grabbing the homework they had gone in there for, before skating back to Reki’s house to get it done.
Or just laze around and watch skating videos and eating snacks instead of their assignments.
(Or: Langa's room is lacking. Reki decides to help remedy this.)
