Summary
Much to his chagrin, Saiki has found himself the object of affection for the prettiest girl in the school. He’s tried almost everything to get Teruhashi to lose interest in him without hurting her feelings (and consequently sending her fan club after him… and potentially losing his friend).
Fortunately, the school’s rumor mill offers the perfect solution: reject her by letting everyone know he doesn't like girls. Unfortunately, it involves fake-dating one Toritsuka Reita, aka the only person Saiki trusts to not fall for him, for this plan to work. Good grief.
[Saiki fake-dates Toritsuka for a month. This is all for the sole purpose of letting Teruhashi down gently. He has no ulterior motives whatsoever, no matter what Aiura or anyone else seems to think.]

He thought about that an unusual amount now. About what Silver said to him. But a lot of things were out of the ordinary right now, weren’t they? He could see the way Silver watched him from the corner of his eye, hoping he wouldn’t notice. A ninja always notices.
Maybe he’s thinking about the future again. Espio wanted to help him get that off of his mind, but he still wasn’t quite himself. What weight is he bearing alone? Why won’t he let him help?
Espio had come up with a lot of different explanations to Silver’s unusual actions, but the truth would’ve never came to mind.

A travesty of bad news later, Mineta is sent down a spiral of emotions that he does not expect to get out of any time soon. Unfortunately, he is left to take care his five-year-old sister. Now, he has to keep his grief in check and keep his little sister happy as well as avoid the other student's in Class 1-A like the plague.
