I have a some personal experience with disassociating due to sensory overload.I wrote this on my phone's notes app last year while listening to a mashup of Famous Last Words (MCR) and Teenage Dreams (Katy Perry) by Ven Noel on Youtube. I spent like two or three hours on this total.

A summary of this series, as brief as I can make it: Longclaw lives! Sonic is trans and Amy is her cousin, so is Cream! Rosemary Prower and Vanilla are bio sisters. Briar Rose is a G.U.N. agent and is Amy and Cream's bio mom along with Vanilla. Amy was forced to go with Briar despite not wanting to after the events of Eggman's first attack on Starlight zone and some messy divorce proceedings. Nilly now lives in Floral Forest Village near Central City with Cream to be closer to Briar and Amy, mostly Amy.
Rosemary messed with a Tarot Deck and messed up time! Eggman messed with Little Planet and conquered most of the world! Verse the semi-demi-immortal owl corpse dead-ified Longclaw and brainwashed Sonic! Amy looped the timeline in on itself so many times that she was able to fix the timeline! Mostly! Grandpa Hastewing is still a zombie cyborg, but at least he's his old self again. Tails has a leg brace from taking a Chaos Spear to the knee. Leeta likes blue and Lyco likes green, these are Lupe's daughters. Lupe of the Wolf Tribe may be in a thrupple with Longclaw and Rosemary! Agent Stone is alive again, yay! Jules the selectively-bred hedgehog is alive again! Uh... huh. That's... hm. Let's see where this goes! :D -

Sonadow slow burn, like really slow burn. But! There is a b-plot of G.U.N. trying to take possession (not custody possession, like he's some kind of battery or tool) of Sonic. Sonadow kisses on top of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Part 5 of Shattersong's Different Paths, Same Hue series. Ties in Archie Sonic's Egg Bosses in as people who were either forcefully or willingly roboticized during the Phantom Ruby War/War for the Fate of the World. No dimensional or multiversal shenanigans, but a very compelling story. Lanolin's with the Rabbit family, Whisper is with her brother/sister Gadget & Barry, and Tangle's with Jewel and Relic the Pika.

Summary
A bipedal figure emerged from the wreckage. The alien stood with a dignified, albeit disheveled, posture. Its purplish skin shimmered subtly, shifting hues in the flickering light, while shoulder-length hair—starkly split into white and black—framed its face. Most of its clothing had been reduced to smoldering scraps by the crash. The creature coughed, waving a hand as if to dispel the lingering heat and smoke.
Senku’s logical mind faltered for a moment, captivated by the undeniable reality before him. He coughed lightly, the sound mingling with the rustle of wind that carried embers ever closer. The alien froze, its large, blue-gray eyes widening in alarm at the unexpected noise. Slowly, it turned to meet Senku’s gaze—a gaze that held equal parts scientific curiosity and genuine concern; its long, lizard-like tail twitched fretfully, barely dodging the scattered embers.
Pointing at the left side of the alien’s face—now visibly singed by the flames—Senku remarked in his trademark deadpan tone, “Um… you’re on fire.”
OR alien Gen crash lands in Senku's backyard; shenanigans ensue.

Gen is a shapeshifting alien who crash landed during a meteor shower in the woods near Senku's home. Senku has taken a keen interest in alien tech and the two have already kissed! For purely practical reasons! Of course. (Communication)
