When Cody first heard that Kenobi was headed to Zygerria, he was apprehensive. Then he heard that Skywalker, Tano, and Rex would be accompanying his jetii, and he felt something akin to true fear. But there was nothing he could do for his vod, or his jetii, while halfway across the galaxy. All he could do was wish them luck and do his best to keep the 212th in one piece.

Ahsoka had taken to Rex’s form of “training” with surprising vigor, enthusiasm, and competency. She memorized battle strategies and military terminology with a similar ease and determination, working tirelessly with the vod’e to bring herself up to speed on what they already knew. So it wasn't surprising when the vod’e began whispering that she was mandokarla – that their vod’ika had guts and spirit. That, if it were ever possible for a jetii to be recognized as such, she was the epitome of Mandalorian virtue.

In the days following the confusing series of events linked to the transmission containing a 2000 year-old jetii distress code, Rex couldn’t help but notice the changes in his vod’ika – though he was perhaps the only person aboard the Resolute who did. At first, Rex had assumed that his vod’ika was just tired, preferring the quiet of her private quarters to the raucousness of the barracks. But as the days stretched into nearly a fortnight, he began to suspect that something else was amiss. And while he didn’t understand what had happened in the initial moments of their confused rendezvous, he suspected that it was more than the jetiise were letting on.
Set immediately after the events on Mortis (S03E15 - S03E17).
